Guide for TeamSnap
How to run a photo contest in TeamSnap
TeamSnap does not have polls of its own: its help center suggests voting with emoji reactions in Team Chat, where everyone sees who voted for what. For a costume contest, a team photo vote or a jersey design, a PicJury link gives every family one private vote and shows the photos side by side. One youth soccer league ran its Halloween costume contest this way and got 7,611 votes in four days, most of them from parents passing the link around their group chats.
Steps
Make the vote
On picjury.app, add 2 to 6 photos, one per team, costume or entry, and give each a short name. Nobody needs an account, you included. Pick how long voting stays open (three days is the default), so families know the deadline.
Post it in Team Chat
Paste the poll link into Team Chat. Parents open it in the browser and tap a photo. They do not need the TeamSnap app, a PicJury account or anything else.
Put it on your league website (optional)
If your club uses TeamSnap Website Builder, add an HTML module to a page and paste the code from "Copy embed code" on the page where you manage your poll. Visitors then vote without leaving your site.
Ask each team to pass it on
Votes come mostly from people who share the link onward, so ask team parents to forward it to grandparents and family chats. Most votes arrive in the first day.
Share the winner
When voting ends, the poll page offers a winner card: the winning photo with its share of the votes, ready to post. Families of the winning team usually post it themselves.
What TeamSnap offers for votes
Emoji reactions in Team Chat work for a quick yes or no among a few people. They show every vote by name and do not keep one vote per person, so for a contest with photos a separate vote link is fairer.
Questions
Does TeamSnap have a poll feature?
Not a built-in one. TeamSnap's own help article suggests using emoji reactions in Team Chat as a poll.
Can people vote more than once?
No. PicJury allows one vote per person and flags suspicious votes, and the organizer decides whether to remove them.
Is it free?
Yes. PicJury is free, with no ads and no paid plan, for teams and whole leagues.
