PicJury lets people create visual polls and share them through public, unlisted links.
What we store
We store poll questions, uploaded images, optional labels, votes, abuse reports and expiration dates. Your browser keeps a random device identifier and the private keys of polls you created; cookies remember your vote, language and theme. We use your IP address only in hashed form, to limit abuse and duplicate votes. PicJury does not require an account.
Who can see a poll
Anyone with the poll link can view its question and images. If the creator enables Jury, the poll also appears in the public community queue for up to 3 days. Do not upload confidential, intimate or sensitive material. If the creator allows it, PicJury may also show the poll’s images and results on its own social media accounts. Turning the setting off stops new posts.
How long data is kept
Creators can delete a poll and its images from the private creator view. Expired polls are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Limited operational backups may remain according to the infrastructure provider’s retention policy. Analytics providers keep their data under their own retention settings.
Service providers
Railway hosts the application and Supabase provides the database and private image storage. Better Stack receives sanitized operational error events without poll content, management links, cookies or IP addresses. Telegram delivers the messages of our Telegram bot. When enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a request comes from a person. We do not sell personal data.
Analytics
To see how PicJury is used and to fix problems, the website uses Google Analytics 4 by Google and Microsoft Clarity by Microsoft. They receive the pages you open, clicks and other interactions, your device and browser, an approximate location derived from your IP address and identifiers stored in cookies. Clarity can replay how a page was used; the private creator page is masked. Google Analytics data is also exported to Google BigQuery for our own analysis. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies. You can block these tools in your browser settings or with a content blocker, and PicJury keeps working.
Polls created in Telegram
If you use our Telegram bot or mini app, Telegram sends us your Telegram user ID, the language of your Telegram app and the photos and question you send. We use the user ID to send you your poll links and to count one vote per person, and we store it only as a one-way hash. Telegram’s handling of your messages is covered by Telegram’s privacy policy.
Polls created in ChatGPT
If you use PicJury in ChatGPT, ChatGPT sends us the photos you choose, the question, optional captions, the language of your chat and an anonymous identifier from OpenAI. We use them only to create the poll and to show you its results in ChatGPT. We keep the identifier only as a one-way hash, which we cannot link to your OpenAI account. We do not store your conversation, your name, file names or location, even when ChatGPT includes them in the request. These polls have no end date: they stay until you delete them from the private results link. OpenAI’s handling of your chats is covered by OpenAI’s privacy policy.
Polls created in Claude and other AI assistants
If you use the PicJury connector in Claude or another AI assistant, the assistant sends us only the poll question and its language. Your photos go from the PicJury card on your device straight to PicJury when you press its create button; the assistant does not send them. Your IP address is used in hashed form to limit how many polls a device creates. We do not receive your conversation. Anthropic’s handling of your chats is covered by Anthropic’s privacy policy.
Your choices
You can delete a poll and its images at any time from its private creator link. To ask which data we hold about you, or to have it deleted when you no longer have the private link, email us.
