Free photo contest voting sites, compared
Most photo contest sites are free up to a limit on entries or voters, and the limit decides which one fits. The short version: if a handful of teams, houses or costumes compete and the votes come from big group chats, a tool without a voter cap fits best. If dozens of people upload their own entries, you need a contest site with a submission form.
Side by side
| Tool | Best for | Price | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| PicJury | A contest between 2 to 6 entries, like teams, houses or costumes, where the vote link goes to big group chats | Free, no ads. No account for the organizer or the voters | At most 6 entries per contest, and the organizer adds the photos (entrants cannot upload their own) |
| PollUnit | Contests where entrants upload their own photos into a gallery | Free plan: 40 participants and 20 files per poll | Premium raises this to 200 participants and 100 files per poll |
| Woobox | Branded public contests run by a business, with an entry form | Free plan: 100 submissions and 1,000 views a month | Paid plans start at $29 a month |
| BestPhotoWins | One simple contest with up to 20 photos | Free plan: 1 active contest, up to 20 photos | Paid plans start at $9 a month |
| Google Forms | A small private contest where everyone has a Google account | Free | Each photo goes into an answer option by hand; one vote per person requires Google sign-in |

Which one to pick
- Up to 6 entries and a lot of voters from chats or social media: PicJury, since nobody signs up and there is no voter limit.
- Entrants upload their own photos: PollUnit, Woobox or BestPhotoWins, depending on how many entries you expect.
- A business campaign with your branding and an entry form: Woobox.
- A dozen colleagues who all use Google: Google Forms.
When PicJury is not the right tool: PicJury does not take entries from participants and stops at 6 photos. For an open contest with dozens of entries, use a contest site with a submission form.
Questions
Is there a photo contest site with no limit on voters?
PicJury does not cap voters and needs no account to vote. The trade-off is that a contest holds at most 6 photos.
How do I stop people voting twice without making them sign up?
PicJury counts one vote per device and network by default. Sites that require an account to vote stop repeat votes more strictly but lose voters who will not register.
Can voters see who is winning before they vote?
In PicJury, no: results open only after someone votes, so early votes do not sway later ones. You can turn this off.
